Niche marketing does require a lot of work, no matter what some marketers may eventually tell you, just to sell their “latest” niche tool.

The classical niche finding formula starts with finding a broad subject and working it towards smaller, less competitive sub-categories. It requires important selective keyword research. It requires that you gather information and data to come up with a niche that: a) is in demand; b) is profitable; c) has little competition in the search engines. It requires that you find the right – preferably the best - products to sell on your niche.

One of easiest ways to start building a list is through giveaway events. What’s a giveaway? It’s a joint venture where several marketers get together to give away free products in exchange for email addresses of potential customers. These products can be anything: a short report, an ebook, graphics and templates, a software, a membership.

How does it work? Each partner has to promote the event in order to drive visitors and earn credits to have his own product shown. Many of these giveaway events bring together 200-300 partners, some of them already with a large list. All this people promoting that single event tend to build huge amounts of traffic, which makes it one of the best places to present your product or offer.

How can you benefit from that? No matter what promotion methods you’re using to build your list, you’d hardly manage to bring as many visitors to your signup page as you can in a Giveaway event. So take advantage of the opportunity, join several giveaways, add your gifts, a signup page and start building your list right away!
